Associate Director, Brand Design – EP Co
We are looking for a Design Director with extensive experience in brand identity, creative leadership and the development of comprehensive brand guidelines. This role combines creative direction with strategic oversight to ensure that our brand’s identity is consistently and effectively communicated across all channels. In addition to managing brand compliance, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, refine and interpret brand guidelines, ensuring they adhere to and evolve with the brand. Digital design expertise will also be a key asset, supporting projects across web, mobile and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Brand Guidelines & Identity Development :
Lead the development and evolution of brand guidelines, ensuring that visual and verbal elements align with the core brand identity.
Oversee the Compliance Review team to ensure all creative outputs consistently follow the established brand standards.
Work closely with internal and external teams to implement and refine brand guidelines, adapting them to various channels and platforms as needed to meet new challenges and opportunities.
Direct and oversee creative work across a variety of formats, including print, digital and experiential, ensuring each piece adheres to the brand’s tone and visual language.
Collaborate with marketing, creative and development teams to ensure the design work is both innovative and in line with technical requirements, while maintaining brand integrity.
Provide strategic input on brand evolution, using data insights and market trends to inform design decisions and brand positioning.
Present regularly to clients and inter-agency partners.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all brand touchpoints.
Strong background in leading design teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments, ensuring alignment with brand vision and standards.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) with Figma and CMS platforms as a plus.
Strong understanding of web and mobile design principles.
Experience working closely with development teams to ensure designs are executable while adhering to tech limitations.
UX knowledge and experience is a major plus.
10 years of experience in creative design and brand identity, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to clearly communicate design intent and justify creative decisions in a strong, confident manner with both clients and inter-agency partners.
Ability to work effectively with both creative and technical teams.
A passion for simplification, design refinement and mentoring others.
