Job Summary
The Biomedical Equipment Technician III provides a high level of technical support, focusing on high end complex devices and medical device systems, including repair, inspection, installation planning, technical evaluations and incident investigations. The Biomedical Equipment Technician III also supports management in the training and cross-training of Biomedical Equipment Technician I and Biomedical Equipment Technician II technical staff as part of the overall department's goal to develop staff professionally.
Minimum Qualifications
AAS Electrical or Biomedical Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience or Military training/experience, 6 years as a biomedical technician, or a BS Electrical or Biomedical Engineering Degree plus 3 years of experience as a Biomedical technician. Received training and demonstrates competency on servicing at least 5 complex electronic or electro-mechanical patient care devices or systems.
Preferred Qualifications
CBET, CRES is highly recommended. Minimum of 2 years as a Biomedical Technician II.
Work Days
Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm
