What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Electrophysiologist position at Upstate Medical University?
Job Summary: Cardiac Electrophysiologist to support growing academic heart and vascular institute. The specialist will provide both medical and interventional care for a variety of abnormal heart rhythms. Skill set will include device implantation, cardiac ablations, crossing the ventricular septum, and other advanced procedures. A new state of the art Heart and Vascular Center has just been inaugurated and cardiovascular services expanded to additional hospitals. Successful candidates will have a primary interest in EP, as well as clinical and research interests in niche areas, such as atrial fibrillation, and a strong desire to teach students, residents, and fellows. Minimum Qualifications:
MD, DO or MBB
Board Eligible/Board Certified in ABIM Cardiovascular Disease
New York State Licensure
BLS Certification Required
DEA Required
Preferred Qualifications

M-F Rotating on call
