Job Summary
The Occupational Therapy Assistant - Weekend will complete treatments per initial evaluation completed by OTR; assess ADL skills; assist in treatment planning; monitor response to treatment and modify treatment appropriately, and revise therapy goals in collaboration with OTR; attend designated clinics, rounds and conferences and render patient information, and complete appropriate documentation. Other responsibilities include: provide in-service education and community education within the scope of knowledge base; adhere to supervisory plan; clinically supervise OTA SL1, OTA students, Rehab Therapy USTs, and volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, NYS O.T.A. license and registration, and 2 years clinical experience required. Candidates who possess an Associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, NYS temporary permit (but must obtain O.T.A. license and registration within 1 year of appointment) and less than 2 years experience will be considered for entry level (SL1) position at a commensurate salary. CPR certification required at time of appointment.
