LPN/Orthopedic Assistant – Per Diem
Responsibilities:
Greeting and rooming patients
Assisting providers with cast and splint applications
Assisting providers with minor office procedures
Dispensing DME per provider orders
Entering orders and managing cast supply inventory
Educating patients/caregivers on cast/splint care and durable medical equipment
Assisting with dressing changes and suture removal as needed
Other LPN duties as requested
The Nurse/Orthopedic Assistant will be responsible primarily for assisting providers with applying casts and dispensing DME as well as assisting with minor procedures in the office. Other duties could include with appointment scheduling, chart preparation, image order completion, stocking rooms, and sterilizing instruments. EMR proficiency, ability to multitask, critical thinking skills, and flexibility are imperative.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Prior office and orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
Workday hours:
FT - Monday-Friday evenings
Job Types: Per Diem
Pay: $24.00
