Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Electrical Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist electricians in various tasks related to electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in both commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Help in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Conduct low voltage wiring tasks under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
- Support the team in building structures for electrical installations, including frame carpentry as needed.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and report any issues to the lead electrician.
- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines during all work activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components is preferred.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter, hand tools, and power tools is essential.
- Experience or training in low voltage systems is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and understand technical drawings is beneficial.
- Previous experience working on a construction site or as a commercial electrician helper is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced electricians.
