What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lineman position at Upstate Pole Services?
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems and equipment
- Perform line work, including overhead and underground installations
- Operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment for line work
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
Qualifications:
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and industrial applications
- Experience in cabling, field service, welding, rigging, or related areas is a plus
- Ability to operate bucket trucks and other specialized equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with customers
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
