Wire Chopper Supervisor

The Wire Chopper Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the wire chopping department, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met. The role involves supervising staff, maintaining equipment, enforcing safety protocols, and working closely with management to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily wire chopping operations and manage workflow.
• Train, assign tasks, and support team members.
• Maintain and monitor equipment; report repair needs.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and conduct safety checks.
• Inspect processed materials to meet quality standards.
• Submit production reports and collaborate with management.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
• Knowledge of wire chopping machinery and processes.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
