Upstate Taco in Stone Ridge New York is willing to train you to serve and bartend!

Job Responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests who walk through our doors.
• Have a solid understanding of our food and drink menu and is able to talk to guests about menu items and specials
• Take orders in person and over the phone by entering them into our POS system.
• Make and serve cocktails and other beverages.
• Stock the counter with necessary packing, product and service tools.
• Clear and wipe down tables.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar.
• Pack takeout orders accurately and completely.
• Run through the shift with grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency
• Communicate effectively with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service. You are respectful to fellow employees. Always.
• Able to keep track of stock and assist with inventory

Requirements:

• You must be 18 years of age or older for this role.
• You are eager to learn and hardworking.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly pay: $12.65/hr tips
• 50% dining discount for you while employed with us

About Us:

We specialize in innovative tacos and handmade cocktails. We opened in August of 2022. We are a husband and wife team with extensive fine dining experience but our focus here is to create an approachable and cheerful environment with great food and drinks. We serve food in house and to go and in the warmer months we have ample seating outdoors. We work hard but we have fun while doing it and we are looking for like minded people to join our team!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $35.00 per hour
