Position Title
Client Relations Associate
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Client Relations Associate. This role will be based in Oxford, MS and will report directly to the executive officers. This is considered a mid-level position with room to grow for the right candidate.
Purpose of the Position
Upstream Life is a life insurance carrier and utilizes third-party independent insurance agents as well as a third-party policy administrator. The Client Relations Associate will be the primary point of contact for our agents and administration team to assist with policy and contracting questions of both a simple and complex nature. This individual will not be directly selling Upstream products, and therefore, no licensing is required. Regular correspondence will be required with these third parties via telephone, email, and video conferencing. Excellent customer service is at the heart of what we want our organization to stand for, and the Client Relations Associate will be at the forefront of this goal.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to produce marketing analytics reports and discuss your findings with the Upstream management team and assist management with new product design and rollout. There will be a high level of supervision early on as you learn your way around the company, but ultimately, we are looking for someone that is eager to learn and eventually become a leader. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to learn many facets of the insurance industry in an entrepreneurial minded environment. This position will help develop and market Upstream Life’s narrative and effectively communicate our proposition, strategy and results. Additionally, this position includes managing relationships with clients, agents, agencies, and administration.
Responsibilities and Objectives
• Perform daily operating functions including communication with agents, agencies, and administration team
• Prepare management reports
• Prepare materials for non-deal roadshows, conferences, and investor meetings
• Undertake special projects as determined by executive management
• Appropriate handling of inquiries from agents, clients, and others in a timely manner
• Effectively communicate the company’s strategy and financials to external parties
• Assist in the preparation of news releases and presentations
• Prepare and maintain documentation according to company standards
• Support all task related to the Marketing and Sales Department
Minimum Qualifications
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office (proficiency in Excel is a plus)
• Ability to produce creative and compelling marketing is a plus
• Attention to detail, organization, and high level of accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively with various people groups
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proven desire to learn and grow through educational and/or career progression
