About the position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PTA to join our outpatient pediatric rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services tailored to children with a variety of physical, developmental, or neurological conditions. This role requires a commitment to helping children reach their highest potential through individualized care and family collaboration.
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and function in pediatric patients.
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training for children.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
- Provide education to families and caregivers on exercises and strategies to support therapy goals at home.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate and timely records.
- Ensure a safe and engaging environment for therapy sessions, using play-based and age-appropriate techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
