We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support our finance team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency as we continue to scale. What You WIll Do:
? Prepare and post monthly journal entries in Sage accounting software
? Maintain documentation for journal entries and accrual balances
? Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
? Record cash transactions and prepare bank reconciliations
? Manage credit card transactions and reconcile operational systems
? Assist with audit requests and compliance tasks
? Support special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed
? Develop a strong understanding of GAAP principles
? Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor and finance team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1 years of general accounting experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage or other accounting software is a plus
- Ability to meet strict month-end deadlines with high accuracy
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members
- Discretion with confidential financial information
- Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with management
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
