What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :
Tutor students using the Socratic method and develop critical thinking skills
Conduct online tutoring sessions via Upswing's virtual classroom, utilizing video, audio, chatbox, and whiteboard features
Provide subject matter expertise in American Sign Language
Assist students in achieving their educational goals and overcoming obstacles
Maintain a minimum of 2-5 hours of tutoring per week during the fall and spring semesters
What is Required (Qualifications) :
Familiarity with tutoring via the Socratic method
Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, distraction-free environment for tutoring sessions
Undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or professional experience in American Sign Language
Excellent grades in undergraduate or graduate school
Strong verbal and written communication skills
