Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
Pay Rate: $22.43 / hour ( shift differential if applicable)
1st shift: 7am - 3pm
2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm ($1.00 shift diff.)
3rd shift: 11pm - 7am ($1.50 shift diff.)
All contractors will need to train on the 1st shift before moving to 2nd or 3rd shift
Duties
- Operate forklifts including stand-up and sit-down models
- Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment
- Transport materials to different locations within the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
Experience
- Prior experience operating forklifts, including crane, clamp truck, cherry picker, or similar equipment
- Familiarity with distribution center operations
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and materials handling
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance is a plus
