Salary: Starting at $18/hour (zero experience), with opportunities for overtime
Schedule: 10 days on 4 days off - Rotating Days & Nights - 12 hour shifts
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Technician specializing in oilfield chemicals for Cementing work. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the formulation and testing of various chemicals used in the oilfield industry, particularly for cement operations. This role involves basic chemistry principles, precise measurements, and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and preparation of oilfield chemicals used incement
- Conduct basic chemical tests and analyses to ensure the quality and consistency of products.
- Follow established procedures and protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals safely.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, test results, and chemical inventory.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize chemical formulations.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in chemistry or related field preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Basic understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols with precision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
