Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the oilfield cable shop. As a Maintenance Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the shop floor by conducting basic maintenance on pumps, tools, and other equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including moving materials and equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on pumps, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Keep the shop floor clean and organized through regular cleanup activities.
- Assist in the movement and rearrangement of equipment and materials within the shop.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of maintenance supplies when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in an industrial or oilfield setting.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as part of daily tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed, with an average of 60 hours per week.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the well-being of oneself and colleagues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Compensation:
$22 per hour, Monday to Friday, with additional weekend availability as required. Average workweek is 60 hours.
