Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse.
Duties
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Keep accurate records of inventory levels
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Familiarity with order picking and cherry picker operations
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.80 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
