Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials using a forklift
- Operate a Hi-Lo or other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Perform tasks such as order picking, using a clamp truck, and managing warehouse inventory
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes
- Conduct basic equipment repairs and demonstrate mechanical knowledge when needed
Skills
- Proficiency in forklift operation and warehouse management
- Experience with various types of forklifts including Hi-Lo and clamp trucks
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and materials safely
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment repairs is a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.30 - $20.00 per hour
