Position Overview:
Uptive, an innovative provider of quick-turn and custom manufacturing services with a comprehensive suite of additive and traditional manufacturing technologies, actively seeks dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Managers to lead growth initiatives throughout the United States. As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in expanding our market presence, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Your role will encompass strategic sales initiatives, technical demonstrations, program management, and fostering enduring partnerships to further elevate our industry success.
Responsibilities:
· Strategic Sales Initiatives: Develop proactive, multi-market sales strategies to grow new and existing accounts by cross selling each of Uptive’s businesses.
· Consultative Approach: Deliver value to the client by demonstrating professional selling skills, generating insights, and making recommendations for change.
· Technical Expertise: Conduct impactful technical demonstrations, showcasing the full spectrum of Uptive's manufacturing capabilities to potential clients.
· Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong client relationships, actively listening to their needs and aligning Uptive's solutions to address their unique manufacturing requirements. Maintain strict discipline in accurately updating information within the CRM system.
· Sales Cycle Management: Navigate the sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation and successful closure, ensuring a seamless transition to the production team.
· Program Oversight: Collaborate with program management teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, meet client expectations, and foster long-term partnerships.
· Market Insights: Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform Uptive's business strategies.
· Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular and accurate sales reports and market insights to senior management.
Travel Requirement:
· Mandatory travel requirement of >50% of your time to effectively cover your assigned accounts.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
· Proven track record of at least 5 years in sales roles, focusing on complex manufacturing solutions, such as Rapid Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, CNC Machining, Sheet-Metal, Injection Molding, and related technologies.
· Strong technical acumen with practical communication skills for diverse audiences.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.
· Results-driven mindset with a history of surpassing sales targets.
