Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EEC Certified Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves planning and implementing engaging activities that promote literacy, physical development, and social skills among preschool-aged children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Foster children's literacy skills through interactive storytelling, reading sessions, and phonics activities.
- Conduct physical education activities that promote gross motor skills and overall health.
- Provide individualized support for students, including those requiring early intervention strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped classroom conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience for all students.
Skills
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting, particularly in preschool or childcare environments.
- Strong background in literacy education and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies.
- Knowledge of physical education principles suitable for young children.
- Familiarity with early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Experience in toddler care is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and growth.
Certification as a Preschool Teacher through the Department of Early Education and Care is required for this position. Applicants can either hold this certification or be currently working towards this certification.
