Our wedding catering company seeks a skilled Pastry Assistant who will be responsible for reading and following recipes using weight measurements. The ideal candidate will excel at baking, filling, and icing cakes, with a particular emphasis on icing skills as these are challenging to teach. You will create a variety of mini pastries including pte choux, pastry cream, chocolate mousse, brownies, blondies, petit fours, and macarons. The role involves delivering wedding orders to up to four locations, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
The successful candidate will maintain strict food safety protocols while working efficiently in our fast-paced kitchen environment. You will assist with wedding cake assembly, prepare mise en place for daily production, and handle special dietary requests when needed. Previous bakery experience is preferred, along with the ability to work early mornings. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen/bakery environment

- Participate in client tastings when required
Qualifications:
