We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, food production, and leadership. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food service operations, including kitchen and dining areas, jumping in to help, advise, and smooth operations as needed.
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, runners, and cashiers, to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee food production processes to maintain quality standards and presentation.
- Develop menus in collaboration with chefs and dietary staff to meet customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the kitchen.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in food preparation and customer service.
- Manage inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Address customer inquiries and feedback to enhance the dining experience.
- Coordinate banquet services for special events as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food service management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen operations.
- Experience in quick service and catering services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations is advantageous.
