Bakery Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their bakery needs. You will play a vital role in maintaining the bakery's cleanliness and organization, ensuring that all products are displayed attractively and that customers have a pleasant shopping experience.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting bakery items.
• Operate the cash register efficiently while handling transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including bussing tables as needed.
• Prepare baked goods according to established recipes and food safety standards.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and monitoring product freshness.
• Upsell additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate pricing and sales calculations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in food preparation or bakery settings is preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Pay: $9.50 - $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
