Role Description
This is a Monday-Friday, full-time on-site In-House Accounting position located in Fargo, ND.
The In-House Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciling reports, bookkeeping, organizing data, data entry and miscellaneous accounting duties. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing financial analysis.
We are looking for at least 2 years of experience in the accounting field for the In-House Accountant position. Compensation will consist of a yearly salary and company benefits. The salary will be $80,000-110,000/year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with coworkers, vendors and customers to ensure accounting accuracy
- Document financial transactions by entering account information
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversee accrual accounting processes to ensure timely recognition of revenues and expenses
- Research, track, and resolve accounting problems
- Balance sheet and bank statement reconciling
- Handling accounts payable and/or accounts receivable duties
- Organizing data for the preparation of taxes and surcharge filings
- Preparing assigned journal entries for posting into general ledger
- Completing month-end close tasks accurately and on schedule
- General bookkeeping
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
Qualifications
- 2 years accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines
- Very strong attention to detail and reading skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Ability to effectively plan and organize
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams etc). QuickBooks Online, Epicor BisTrack and Great Plains software experience is a plus
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear report writing and collaboration with team members
