Mold Technician

About the Role:

We are a home water and mold remediation company that specializes in repairs caused by water damage and mold. We are looking for a technician to assist our water damage departments. The primary responsibility of this position involves working and assisting in the field with both dry out tasks and contents moving/dumping tasks. Professional communication skills is a must. We are looking for a very self-motivated individual who can be productive and efficient without constant supervision and who takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

• A clear criminal record (will be checked)
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work alone and within a team dynamic
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Valid driver’s license
• Profession appearance
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Will be responsible for packing and moving household goods and furniture occasionally.
• The ability to wear and properly use a variety of personal protective Equipment (PPE). This includes respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations.
• Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, including lifting in areas of low clearance.
• Performs activities including, but not limited to removal of hazardous materials (asbestos, lead, mold, etc.) following all applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Handles various hand tools and equipment related to abatement/remediation
• Help with navigation and telephone interaction while in the field, including learning to drive work truck
• Help with demolition, debris removal, and contents movement
• Learn customer interaction and communication
• Prove reliability in responding to after hour emergencies and answering phone

·      WRT certification with the IICRC

• 3 yeas of field experience preferred but not required
• Learn functions of various meters and hygrometer

Familiar with how to do board ups and work with drying equipment
