Notes from the manager
- Currently working on numerous modernization projects
- Code is currently on-prem in Java, converting to Python in AWS cloud
- Java understanding would be helpful
- Cloud applications - 13 currently deployed, 5 in progress. Will be responsible for changes, updates, enhancements. Apps are internal but with external outputs
- UI would be a plus for some future initiatives but not required
- All cloud code will be written in Python
- Currently 2.5 developers on team - structured as a product team internally
- Integrations run daily for 13 applications, various microservices
Must haves:
* 3 – 5 years Python experience
* Understanding of Java
* CI/CD pipeline experience
* AWS certifications a plus (AWS Cloud Practitioner)
* Know stored procedures and batch running in order to convert to microservices
* Web Front-end development experience (Type script, React, Angular) a plus
* Knowledge of mainframe, DB2 (nice to have)
* Some mainframe analysis but no coding (nice to have)
