Job Overview
Purchasing and Assistant Account Management
We are seeking a tech-savvy professional to deliver our IT procurement operations and provide critical support to our account management team. The ideal candidate will combine strong technological understanding with sourcing expertise, ensuring we deliver excellent purchasing solutions and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- IT Procurement:
- Develop and implement strategic IT procurement strategies for hardware, software, cloud services, and technology infrastructure
- Conduct market research on equipment to fulfill client needs
- Negotiate pricing for larger deals
- Manage vendor selection process for IT equipment, software solutions, and technology services
- Stay current with technology trends and emerging procurement opportunities in the IT sector
- Technology Account Management Support:
- Assist senior account managers in managing relationships with technology clients and vendors
- Prepare account presentations as required
- Coordinate communication between sales, technical teams, account management, and operations
- Support client technology needs and identify potential upselling opportunities
- Manage complex account documentation and ensure accurate technical record-keeping
- Provide “remote-hands” onsite support as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology, or related technical field a big plus
- Additional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Procurement, A /N or vendor-specific procurement certifications preferred
- Required Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in IT or technical field
- Strong understanding of corporate IT infrastructure and emerging technology trends
- Negotiation experience
- Strong orientation to details
- Proficiency in technology procurement tools and enterprise software
- Technical aptitude with ability to understand complex IT solutions
