Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven VP of Solutions to join our leadership team. This role will serve as the critical link between our sales and customer success teams, ensuring our customers experience seamless onboarding, adoption, and long-term value from our platform. The VP of Solutions will own all aspects of pre-sales solution engineering while also driving post-sales success, including implementation, customer success, upsells, renewals, and retention metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Solution Engineering
- Lead and grow a high-performing solutions engineering team to support the sales process with technical expertise and consultative solutions design.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align solutions engineering strategies with revenue goals.
- Partner with prospects to understand their business challenges and demonstrate how our platform solves those challenges through tailored solutions.
- Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and ensure alignment between customer needs and product development.
Post-Sales Ownership
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation process, ensuring timely and successful onboarding of new customers.
- Build and lead a customer success team responsible for driving customer engagement, satisfaction, and platform adoption.
- Develop strategies to maximize upsell opportunities, renewals, and customer retention.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics, such as Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), and Time-to-Value (TTV).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the customer journey, ensuring a seamless handoff from sales to post-sales teams.
- Act as an executive sponsor for key customer accounts, providing strategic guidance and ensuring their long-term success.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in solutions engineering, customer success, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in pre-sales and post-sales roles within a SaaS, fintech, or logistics-focused environment.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage in detailed discussions with product and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable customer outcomes and meet or exceed revenue retention and growth targets.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Familiarity with fintech or financial operations solutions.
- Expertise in scaling customer success and solutions engineering organizations in a startup environment.
