Field CISOs at Upwind Security are a new, customer-facing role filled by experienced security practitioners with strong networks. Their primary goal is to support deal conversion at any stage of the sales cycle by sharing their security expertise, past experiences, and how they have or would use Upwind to solve complex security challenges.
The ideal candidate will have experience using Upwind at their previous company, providing authentic insights into the platform's capabilities and benefits. Field CISOs will play a critical role in both deal sourcing and deal assistance and will be measured against key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to these functions.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customer executives and technical stakeholders to provide expert guidance on security strategies and the use of Upwind solutions.
- Assist the sales team in converting opportunities by providing technical expertise and real-world examples of Upwind's impact.
- Drive deal sourcing and deal acceleration through thought leadership, networking, and active participation in the security community.
- Conduct security transformation and planning workshops for prospects and customers.
- Contribute to Upwind’s market positioning by sharing insights at industry events, conferences, and publications.
- Identify and influence new opportunities for Upwind.
- Provide deal assistance through direct involvement in closing opportunities via strategic guidance and technical validation.
