Schedule: Full time, day hours with on-call one night a week
Responsibilities:
- Provides alcohol & drug testing.
- Assists clinical & clerical staff to facilitate flow of patients & health information for customers’ medical records.
- Supports nursing and medical staff in the admission, treatment & discharge of patients.
- Responsible for training of clinic staff in collection of specimens for drug tests and collection.
- Troubleshoots problems with technical equipment.
- Lives the CARES values at all times.
Required Job-Specific Competencies:
- Demonstrates skill in AED, Breath Alcohol technician, audiogram & spirometry calibration & test administration, ECG, DOT & non-DOT urine drug collection.
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, providers, associates & corporate customers.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- BLS certification required.
- Certification for breath alcohol testing, drug testing (urine, saliva, hair testing) preferred.
- Competency for phlebotomy preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or emergency department preferred.
- Knows spelling and use of medical terms.
- Must possess excellent patient/public relations and communication skills.
- Proficient in data entry.

Pay Range: $18.64 - $21.50
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
