Dietary Aide

Job Summary
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the dietary department within our facility, ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals. This position involves assisting in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Serve food in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring proper portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensuring that all dishes are collected
• Dishwashing
• Help with inventory management, including stocking supplies and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that all dietary needs are met for residents.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries and requests regarding their meals.

Skills

• Experience in food preparation within the food industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, including sanitation practices and food safety regulations.
• Experience dish washing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within the dietary department.
• Basic culinary skills to assist with meal preparation tasks as needed.
• Attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $21.23 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
