JOB SUMMARY
To assist General Manager in operating Reno’s premier Adventure Park. The Assistant GM will help drive results through effective leadership, adherence to safety policies and customer service excellence. No matter the task, you will need to keep a level head, be able to multitask, and have excellent people skills. People skills are a must in this role. You will interact with customers, employees, vendors, and other members of management on a consistent basis. You should be a good teacher and mentor. Your job is to be attentive to the employees by motivating them to succeed and improve.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School education or GED. Proven leadership skills. Self-motivator with plenty of initiative. Positive attitude and ability to work well with others. Ability to do multiple tasks. Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate effectively. Personable, professional manner as well as dependable and punctual with excellent attendance record. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Must be able to meet critical deadlines. Must have own transportation. Must be at least 21 years of age.
AVAILABILITY: Must be flexible and able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as well as extended hours as necessary. Open availability is preferred.
What You’ll do as an Assistant General Manager:
- Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations
- Be able to perform all Cashier duties of the Front Desk, Café and Bar,
- Assist with training and supervision of employees
- Provide professional leadership and mentor employees
- Promote excellent service; resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure merchandise is stocked and available
- Complete general reporting and bookkeeping responsibilities as required
- Support effective store operations, including but not limited to inventory, cash management, staff meetings, work schedules, shift change procedures and food service quality
- Support the General Manager with the inspection of the facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order, submitting requests for repairs and maintenance when appropriate
- Safeguard and account for any cash on hand
- Support Food Service operations when needed including prepping, cooking, restocking and cashier,
- Adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations including the sale of alcohol
- Meet the physical demands of lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 50 lbs.as well as standing for long periods of time
- Meet and exceed personal and store sales goal and standards of performance.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees.
- Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company.
- Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices
- Effectively communicate all park needs to General Manager
- Resolve customer issues effectively.
- Provide a fun, full service experience to all customers.
- Understand the Urban Air culture and demonstrate it to the team.

You’ll be a Great Fit if You Have:
- A high school diploma/GED preferred
- 1 years of supervisory experience, experience in a convenience/retail store environment is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficient with basic computer skills
- Proven ability to stay calm and confident under pressure, while delivering extraordinary customer service
- A food handlers certificate
- An alcohol serving license
