What are the responsibilities and job description for the Juvenile Review Board Case Manager position at Urban Community Alliance?
The Juvenile Review Board (JRB) Case Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing diversionary programs for youth offenders referred to the JRB. The Case Manager works closely with youth, families, law enforcement, schools, and community organizations to develop and implement intervention plans aimed at reducing recidivism and promoting positive youth development.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, schools, social services, and community partners to provide necessary support and resources.
- Facilitate JRB meetings, ensuring proper case presentation and decision-making.
- Meet with clients in the office, at home and in the community.
- Monitor and track the progress of youth participants, maintaining accurate case files and documentation (e.g., diversion plan goals established by the JRB panel, including but not limited: attending therapy, tutoring, attending education/awareness programs and other required JRB activities).
- Coordinate community service placements and supervision of participants as required
- Advocate for youth participants to ensure they receive appropriate services.
- Attend community events and activities with clients.
- Attend and participate in community meetings and collaborative events.
- Conduct outreach and education about JRB program to community invested partners.
- Other relevant related duties, as assigned.

- Ability and flexibility to complete tasks virtually, if necessary
- Ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
- Criminal and DCF background check will be required.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and an insured automobile for home visits, school visits, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & ability to use Zoom & Microsoft Teams.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2-4 years’ experience working with adolescents and families in a community setting. Case Management experience preferred.
One position is full time and the other position is part time
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
