We’re seeking a Hotel General Manager to oversee all aspects of our Denver property, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and a motivated team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering outstanding service.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee Daily Operations:

  • Lead and manage the hotel’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that every department functions seamlessly, from guest services to housekeeping.
  • Ensure the property remains clean, organized, and fully operational, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring their stay is enjoyable and addressing any issues that arise.

Hiring & Training:

  • Handle the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members, building a team that excels in providing top-tier service.
  • Implement effective training programs to ensure all staff are aligned with the hotel’s service standards and operational procedures.

Revenue Management:

  • Set room rates and pricing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Manage the hotel’s profit and loss (P&L) statements, ensuring financial goals are met while keeping operational costs under control.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Create a positive and supportive work environment, fostering employee engagement and ensuring team members are motivated and valued.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to staff, helping them grow in their roles and continuously improving service delivery.
  • Step in as needed to support the front desk or any other area of operations, leading by example and ensuring smooth operations.

Operational Excellence:

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all hotel functions, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Oversee payroll, scheduling, and inventory management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and cost-effective practices.

Financial Accountability:

  • Monitor and manage all financial aspects of the hotel, including cost controls, labor management, and budget tracking.
  • Set occupancy and revenue goals, and ensure the property meets or exceeds these targets through effective rate management and guest services.
Who You Are:
  • Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally within boutique or independent hotels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, including experience managing P&L statements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Hands-on and flexible, ready to assist with any aspect of hotel operations when needed.
  • Familiarity with MEWS, Akia, Tripleseat, OTA management, and POS systems is a plus.
Time Commitment:
  • Minimum 50 hours per week, with 20 hours dedicated to in-service management, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Available to cover front desk shifts or other operational needs as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of maneuvering through narrow hallways and stairways throughout the property.
