ABOUT THE POSITION :
Urban Dove Team Charter School seeks an IEP Teacher responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. The role involves working closely with faculty to integrate IEPs into the curriculum, communicating with parents and special education teams, and using data to improve student outcomes. Our goal is to provide personalized learning experiences that support academic and personal growth within our unique sports-based education model.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION :
Urban Dove Team Charter School (UD Team) is a distinctive network of sports-based high schools catering to over-aged, under-credited youth. We fuse a robust academic curriculum with sports-based youth development, ensuring our graduates receive a diploma, a stepping stone for higher education, and essential job skills.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- IEP Development and Synthesis :
Collaborate with teachers to synthesize IEPs into comprehensive class learning plans.
Observe students with IEPs to inform caseload management.
Maintain systems for timely and accurate IEP meetings, teacher reports, and attendance tracking.
Communicate with parents regarding students with IEPs.
Maintain current demographics and documents for students with IEPs, 504s, ELLs, and those in the referral process.
Collaborate on the creation and implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
