Position Overview
Urban Ecospaces, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scheduler to support the JFK Redevelopment Program. The successful candidate will play a key role in the resolution of complex and high-impact scheduling challenges, contributing to the overall success of a major infrastructure initiative. This individual will work as part of the program management team under HNTB Corporation and report directly to the Scheduling Manager.
This position requires advanced knowledge of scheduling principles and tools, and the ability to manage schedules involving significant risk and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently develop and manage schedules for complex infrastructure projects using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
- Maintain and update project schedules, incorporating progress updates and communicating status to project management.
- Conduct critical path and schedule risk analysis, including quantitative assessments.
- Identify and evaluate critical activities, key milestones, and schedule deviations.
- Develop “what-if” scenarios and alternative sequencing to mitigate potential delays.
- Evaluate and analyze contractor claims, delay cost estimates, and time impacts.
- Integrate cost and schedule data for earned value analysis (EVA) reporting.
- Perform contemporaneous schedule analysis to support project decision-making.
- Support the Scheduling Manager and broader program team with other related duties as assigned.
- Review contractor schedule submittals, including baseline schedules and progress updates, with attention to detail and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of related scheduling or project controls experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant project controls experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Experience working on large-scale or mega infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a high-paced, collaborative environment.
