Job Summary:
The Multifamily Development Analyst/Associate assists the development team with executing the entire development process from start to finish. Work includes sourcing potential deals, financial analysis and underwriting, investor relations, due diligence and closing, design and entitlement, construction oversight, asset management and leasing, and disposition. This position will report directly to the Austin market lead and work closely with all the members of Urban Genesis’s Multifamily team as well as third party service providers.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis of multifamily developments, often with other components (e.g. ground floor retail).
- Aid in performing site due diligence.
- Assist in various closing processes throughout the life of the investment (acquisitions, construction loans, permanent loans, sales, etc.).
- Provide support in raising debt and equity, and investor relations (investment packages, investor/lender communications, reporting, presentations, etc.).
- Back the team in oversight and quality control through the construction process.
- Analyze performance of completed/existing assets, assist in planning and budgeting, and help oversee property management.
- Partner with the development team in overseeing the predevelopment process and getting sites ready for construction (design, permits, rezoning, preconstruction, etc.).
- Source new potential investment opportunities (market research, broker communication, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2-3 years of experience in commercial real estate investment and/or development, or related field, for the Associate position (0-2 years for the Analyst position).
- Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience using Airtable and Tableau preferred but not required.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to learn from mistakes without repeating them.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks independently.
- Dedication to following through, meeting deadlines, and completing high quality work without being micromanaged.
- Self-starter with the drive to constantly try to find ways to improve.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $700,000.00 per year
