The Business Development Analyst Intern to be responsible for compiling and examining financial data and providing financial analysis support and presentation. This position will be part of the Business Development group and has a desire to learn about topics ranging from project development, energy markets, project financing, tax equity and other topics that impact investments.
This is a paid internship that will start on or around June 2, 2025, with an end date of August 8, 2025.
During the 10-week program, interns will participate in virtual, company-wide and department meetings, virtual monthly Friday lunch & learn trainings and a culminating group presentation on your overall internship experience. The program is structured to provide exposure to careers in renewable energy, best practices in internal communications as part of a remote/ hybrid team and best of all, the opportunity to work and support a team of professionals who are experts in their field.
Responsibilities
This position will be in our Houston, TX Headquarters working a Hybrid 3 days a week in the office/ 2 days remote. Position will require a trip to one of the project sites VA.
Candidate to work full-time hours Monday - Friday during the summer duration of the internship.

Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to consolidate financial model inputs and outputs into a database and develop a process for updating the database
- Learn and maintain unlevered and levered financial models to support investment underwriting
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for Urban Grid acquisition and divestment initiatives
- Support core M&A process activity flow, including process letters, letter of intents, shared models, deal documentation, dataroom preparation and management diligence logs, etc
- Conduct quantitative feasibility analysis on new markets, participants, projects, and trends
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and modeling requests
- Maintain monthly/quarterly reporting for new and existing pipeline reporting
- Support due diligence activities as needed for financing activities and/or M&A transactions
- Perform any other legal tasks and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- Interest in renewable energy
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Excellent financial analysis and knowledge of excel
- Strong work ethic and exceptionally high work standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Be capable of analyzing very large amounts of financial and numerical data and extracting, summarizing, and communicating key results
- Work proactively individually, and collaboratively within the team
