The Manager, IT Operations is responsible for the daily operations of Urban Grid's Information Technology ecosystem. This role serves a critical functional component of the Urban Grid IT team as well as the entire organization. The Manager, IT Operations is responsible for the reliable operation of IT systems located both on-premises as well as remote employee locations across the US. Core operational systems include all hardware, networking, cyber security, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and all business software systems. This role will manage a team of full time employees as well as third-party contractors and consultants engaged with Urban Grid for various IT projects and initiatives related to IT operations.

Responsibilities:
- This role will be responsible for managing, motivating and developing a team of IT professionals
- Responsible for overseeing the IT Service Desk and ensuring that service requests submitted by internal customers and properly triaged and completed in a timely manner. Another key function of the IT Service Desk is the IT Asset Management Program, which governs new equipment deployments, replacing aging equipment and conducting periodic inventories of IT assets.
- Responsible for overseeing the Security Information Event Management (SIEM) cyber security system and ensuring that all cyber events are properly triaged, investigated and remediated in a timely manner
- Responsible for designing and overseeing other operational monitoring systems to ensure secure, robust and reliable operation of Urban Grid's entire IT ecosystem
- The Manager, IT Operations will provide weekly and monthly internal reporting on operational status and performance of the IT Service Desk and SIEM
- This role will work closely with the Vice President of Technology & Innovation and the Manager of Enterprise Architecture to integrate new IT systems and policies into the operational IT infrastructure.

Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in IT operations
- Over 10 years of experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure
- Prior experience in a management or supervisory position is preferred
- Able to track all work tasks in an organized manner and able to manage competing timelines and priorities of work tasks. Able to adapt to changes in timelines and priorities and ensure that the IT Operations team is aligned and focused on the team's work plan
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Must prosses a strong work ethic and focus on customer service
