What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events and Data Manager position at Urban Homeworks?

Description

Who We Are

Urban Homeworks' (UHW) mission is to lead the fight for housing justice so that people can have a safe, stable and dignified place to live. Guided by the vision "housing justice for all", UHW transforms condemned, underutilized, and neglected properties into safe, dignified rental or homeownership opportunities for low- to moderate-income-primarily BIPOC-households. Using housing as a platform to combat racial wealth gaps and create broader social change, UHW works to build community between neighbors, businesses, and contractors in South and North Minneapolis and the Frogtown Neighborhoods in St. Paul. By addressing the issues residents face inside and outside the home with community-centric care, UHW helps neighbors build the stable foundation needed to further overcome the barriers that perpetuate inequity and make their dreams a reality.

Why You'll Love Working Here

You will love working for a community-centered housing justice organization that proudly calls North Minneapolis home. You will be encouraged, challenged, and grow alongside colleagues who are making waves in Minnesota's housing ecosystem as we amplify and advocate for solutions coming from the community. And you'll enjoy the hybrid work model with open concept workspaces that facilitate collaboration, a sweet rooftop patio for rest and refreshment, and daily opportunities to work alongside neighbors, colleagues, politicians, and partners to create a world where no one is ever denied their basic human right for a stable home to live, thrive and love.

Wages & Benefits

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000/annually; 22 paid office closures per year, plus generous paid vacation and sick time; a 5-week paid sabbatical after 5 years of service to the organization; paid parental leave; employer-subsidized health insurance options, plus optional dental and vision packages; health savings and flexible spending accounts; retirement savings options; agency-sponsored life insurance; employer-paid short and long-term disability insurance; flexible work structure with hybrid and remote options.

Schedule

This position has a hybrid schedule that includes two days per week in the office and three days per week working remotely.
