POSITION SUMMARY :
The UX Designer (User Experience Designer) leads the planning and creation of engaging member experiences across ULI’s web and digital application portfolio. ULI strives to create more meaningful and memorable user experiences through continuous improvement processes leveraging the latest in technology with an empathetic eye for our member’s perspective. A successful user experience provides a frictionless connection between ULI’s business objectives and ULI member’s needs.
The UX Designer will analyze current and potential websites and applications to provide actionable recommendations based on user experience best practices. Working with product owners across ULI, the UX Designer will craft product solutions, collaborate with development partners, and engage with stakeholders. User interface will also be considered to ensure consistent experience across various platforms. The UX Designer will seek feedback through workshops and focused user-research activities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Leads the design for new experiences and improvements of existing web and digital application experiences.
- Consulting with stakeholders to understand their business goals and objectives.
- Discover and build usage scenarios for how members engage with ULI applications.
- Creating member-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and accounting for stakeholder feedback.
- Incorporating member feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into designs that enhance user interface and user experience.
- Continual, collaborative engagement with product owners, development partners, and ULI leadership.
- Lead design presentations to product team, members, and ULI leadership in order to solicit feedback.
- Advocates for design solutions, highlighting inputs that influenced the decisions including ULI and member goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.
- Delivers work that’s not only user-friendly, aesthetically engaging, but which also produces results.
