Villa Landscapes, a premier landscape design-build firm in Minnesota, is seeking a talented and creative Landscape Designer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about transforming outdoor spaces into functional, beautiful, and innovative landscapes.
Position Overview
As a Landscape Designer, you will work directly with clients to create custom outdoor living spaces that enhance their properties. This role requires a balance of design creativity, technical knowledge, and client interaction. From concept to completion, you’ll develop and oversee designs that include patios, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, water features, plantings, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Design Development – Create innovative and functional landscape designs using CAD software or other design tools
✔️ Client Consultations – Meet with clients to discuss their vision, needs, and budget
✔️ Project Planning – Develop detailed plans, material selections, and cost estimates
✔️ Collaboration – Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively
✔️ Site Analysis – Conduct on-site measurements and assessments to develop site-specific solutions
✔️ Sales & Presentations – Present design concepts to clients and guide them through the decision-making process
✔️ Stay Current – Keep up with industry trends, materials, and innovations in landscape design
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree or certification in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field
2 years of experience in landscape design (preferred)
Proficiency in CAD software, SketchUp, or other design programs
Strong knowledge of plants, hardscape materials, and outdoor living trends
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once
Experience in sales and client consultations is a plus
