What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Party Chief position at Urban, Ltd.?
Urban is currently seeking experienced Survey Party Chiefs for our Survey Department in our Chantilly, VA location.
Urban Ltd. provides full-service civil engineering, transportation engineering, land planning, landscape architecture and surveying services to private and public sector clients throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Responsibilities & Requirements will include :
- Manage and lead a field survey team performing boundary surveys, ALTA / NSPS surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking
- Ability to work both independently and in a leadership capacity as part of a field team
- Responsible for adjusting and operating surveying instruments and recording survey measurements and descriptive data.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems
- Possesses a high degree of understanding of the principles and practices of surveying
- Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with other disciplines working on the project
- Ability to maintain a high-performance level in a fast-paced, accountable environment
- Attention to the details while maintaining efficiency is paramount
- Maintain a current driver’s license in good standing
