Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team to success. As an expanding convenience and fuel chain, we are looking to train new store managers for some upcoming opportunities. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and employee performance.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to meet sales goals and increase customer loyalty.
- Supervise and train sales associates, cashiers, and other store staff to ensure excellent customer service and to maintain store appearance and organization.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, manage inventory levels, and order supplies and merchandise as needed.
- Prepare and manage the store's budget and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Utilize POS systems and cash registers to manage sales and inventory.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and time-off management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other business partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a related retail management role.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of employees.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with cash registers and POS systems.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
