What Makes a McKibbon Beverage Manager?
As a key member of the restaurant/bar leadership team, the Beverage Manager is accountable for the Bar operation. While the focus is to guide the operation of the Bar, you may also serve as the lead manager during the evening, allowing for exposure to all aspects of the hotel operations. The Bar Manager is committed to guest satisfaction and providing a great experience for all guests.
A Day in the Life:
•You will move throughout the facility and monitor cleanliness of serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards.
•Support staff as needed during service.
•You will control the elements that determine profit and loss of the operations.
•You will work with the hotels’ sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained.
•You will coordinate with the Director of F&B and Executive Chef in the planning of menus.
•You will work with the Director of F&B on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, maintaining and planning ahead for reservations in open table, creating and executing checklists and SOPs.
•You will work with the Director of F&B on product pricing, menus, and wine selection.
•You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of the Bar, budgeting, drink costs, charging out house accounts, closing the outlets several nights a week.
•You will be responsible for cash management of the outlets- maintaining cash drawers, making change, opening banks, closing out the day.
•Complete Table touches and ensure the best service for our guests.
•Work with the Director and Chefs to create experiences and events inside the restaurants.
Requirements
•An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
•3 years’ minimum experience in a bar/restaurant operation preferred
•3 years minimum experience as a Bartender preferred
•Experience in a supervisor or managerial position
•Experience working with Point-of-Sale System – Toast and Reservation system – Open Table (highly desired)
•Experience working at a hotel or restaurant establishment (highly desired)
•The ability to implement the established menu and service standards
•The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates
•The ability to perform initial and ongoing training of associates
•The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect
