MEDICAL/CLINICAL ASSISTANT FT needed for interventional pain clinic in Anchorage. We are an interventional and multidisciplinary pain clinic delivering the highest level of state-of-the-art and innovative care led by a double board certified physician.
In our modern paperless facility, a well-organized and self-motivated medical/clinical assistant will be responsible for patient flow from registration through check out. You will assist in patient care under the direct supervision of a physician or physician assistant, take vitals, prepare patients for examination and procedures, turn over exam and procedure rooms, prepare sterile equipment. The assistant will communicate with other physician offices and healthcare facilities. Other clinic and administrative duties may be added, as well as assisting with educational and marketing presentations.
Position to start Immediately. If candidate is still in school at start time, we may consider less than full time during training period.
The Ideal candidate:
- Is preferably a college graduate.
- Must maintain professional appearance and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Must work independently but follow clinic protocols.
- Must work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- It is a plus if the candidate is someone who desires to advance in the medical sciences or wishes to gain clinical experience to advance in basic sciences and possibly seeks admission to medical school. Most previous assistants have gone on to medical school or other higher medical professional education.

We are looking for a Clinical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in observing and performing medical tests and procedures, as well as assisting clinicians with a variety of clerical and clinical tasks. The Clinical Assistant is also responsible for organizing records to facilitate smooth patient care, as well as answering any questions patients may have.
Responsibilities:
- Keeps records of patient care and treatment.
- Provides new and existing patients with medical care and advice.
- Cooperates with other medical personnel in order to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Communicates with patients, family members, and other caregivers in a way that promotes ease of treatment and comfort for the patient.
- Treats patients in an understanding and compassionate manner.
