What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Intake Specialist (weekends only) position at Urban Recovery House LLC?
The Admissions Intake Specialist is responsible for the admission and registration of incoming clients. They ensure all required client information is received and processed appropriately, following the policies and procedures.
This role is part time on Saturday and Sundays from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Screen, interview, and complete all admissions/triage assessments as needed.
- Engage with insurance companies over eligibility, benefits, and authorization for services.
- Secure and document client’s insurance registration/authorization numbers.
- Ensure all required insurance documentation is uploaded to the client’s EMR.
- Enter new clients into EMR as needed.
- Complete all required consent and disclosure documentation with clients, to be uploaded to the client’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Complete and distribute daily census reports to all required staff.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and NY Health Department regulations.
