We are seeking passionate and motivated CNAs to join our team of addiction treatment professionals!
The Certified Nurses Aide acts as support staff to the nursing team in charge assuring completion of all medical protocols. The Nurses Aide assists in the delivery of substance abuse treatment by meeting the client's immediate needs for direction, information, motivation, guidance, nourishment, shelter, and safe escort outside the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct initial intake assessments for clients entering into the detox or rehabilitation program.
- Conduct sedative and opiate withdrawal assessments as directed by charge nurse every 4 hours.
- Communication regarding client activity to the counseling and nursing staff.
- Aware of the chain of command and uses the available professional personnel for direction.
- Observe clients for behavior inconsistent with treatment goals.
- Assure that clients adhere to program activity schedule.
- Escort the client to destinations outside the facility.
- Transport the clients to units throughout the facility when needed.
- Make room checks on all clients.
- Record all room checks, arrivals, and departures from the facility on shift to shift report.
- Maintenance of population board updated each shift to include admissions and discharges.
- Clerical maintenance of client's medical record.
- Monitor linen supplies and replenish as needed each shift.
