Description
We are an inpatient drug treatment program seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Art Therapist to join our team. Candidates must be able to Engage clients in individual and Group Creative Arts Therapy which helps them to identify problems and explore potential solutions, setting realistic goals and implementing strategies that build upon their strengths and motivate further their self-sufficiency and hopefully ultimate recovery.
Candidates must be able to manage a case load of 8-10 clients , conduct daily individual & group counseling sessions , admission assessments, case management and aftercare planning, crisis interventions , and develop individualized treatment plans & overall counseling. Strong documentation skills and familiarity with OASAS regulations a plus!
Requirements
Education :
- Masters Degree in Creative Arts Therapy (or similar), or
- Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation (or similar) plus 5 years of relevant experience
