POSITION OVERVIEW
The Security Monitor provides overall facility monitoring and surveillance through regular facility rounds, maintains log of person entering and exiting the facility. Conducts fire drills and maintains log books on fire drill and emergency apparatus. The security staff also documents accounts of resident's non-compliance of curfews, and other rules and regulations.
Salary : $34,307
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a log of visitors entering and exiting the premises and record all unusual incidents per established procedures, while ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors enter the property.
- Surveillance of the grounds, facility and activities of the residents to prevent theft and resident harm.
- Ensure that all doors from the facility are locked and secured.
- Monitor fire and safety procedures.
- Provide administrative support in the area of the office coverage, telephone and clerical work.
- Perform light maintenance responsibilities in the absence of maintenance staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Function independently in term of facility coverage including responsibility for appropriate action in crisis situation per agency procedures.
- Meet with Security Supervisor for individual and group supervision, and training.
- Assist with delivery of supplies and furniture.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and training seminars conducted to enhance and develop one's skills.
